It was really a mucky day along the Ventura coast today. I'm not sure what order I did them in, but I had three or four missions yet to find, and photograph.
The first is Purisima, which is in the general area of Lompac, CA. This is a geologically unstable peninsula of California, near Santa Barbara, un-noteworthy except that there was once a rocket launching base there comparable to Cape Kennedy in Florida. (Dad told a wild story about watching an entire "cat" earthmover disappear into a sink hole at this site). Anyway this mission is pretty sad, pitiful and wretched, not much left there. The site is maintained for historical purposes.
